Itching for more info about Disney’s Raya and the Last Dragon?

The studio’s next major animated feature is just weeks away. Now, we’ve got access to a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the movie. The clip features actors Kelly Marie Tran and Awkwafina, alongside writers and producers from Raya. Watch it below:

“Crafting Raya” discusses the film’s Southeast Asian influences and the details that went into the story. The filmmakers also say Raya and the Last Dragon is very action-heavy; they discuss different forms of martial arts incorporated into the feature as well.

The clip also touches on the challenges of working on Raya during the pandemic. (A lot of animation work had to be done at home under quarantine.)

Raya and the Last Dragon takes viewers on an exciting, epic journey to the fantasy world of Kumandra. Raya, a lone warrior, must track down the legendary last dragon to stop an evil force that has returned after 500 years to once again threaten her homeworld.

“Learning how to find the goodness in the world is such a beautiful, important message,” Tran says in the new clip. “I really can’t wait for people to see it.”

Raya and the Last Dragon premieres in select theaters and on Disney+ Premier Access on March 5. Get advance theater tickets here. Or, pre-order it on Disney+ Premier Access for $29.99.
