Still one of the weirdest games I’ve ever watched.

Death Stranding finally gets the PC version I never thought I wanted! I mean, I doubt that my PC has the graphics card to actually run it…. But at least it’s there if I ever upgrade.

Death Stranding: The Weirdest Game You’ll Ever Play

Technically speaking, Hideo Kojima‘s Death Stranding isn’t actually available on PC yet at the time of this writing. It’s going to launch later today, July 14, which means that you still have time a limited time frame in which to pre-order it. Why should you pre-order it? Well, the pre-order bonuses include gold and silver exoskeletons, hats, and other gear you can wear in-game. That’s not all. You’ll even get Death Stranding wallpaper and an art book to boot. It’s not much, but if you really want it, you still have a chance to get it before the game launches.

Also the "Shiny Edition".

For those of you who don’t want to shell out money for the pre-order bonuses, don’t worry. The PC version of Death Stranding still has plenty of free stuff for the regular buyers. The PC version apparently has ultra-wide monitor support, support for “high frame rate”, and even a special crossover with Valve’s Half-Life. Yes, you heard that right. And the best part? This crossover is a wearable head-crab you can get in-game, so you can have Sam Bridges walk around pretending to be a head-crab zombie.

As cute as the real thing.

For those of you who have no idea what Death Stranding is, here’s a description from PlayStation’s official product page:

“In the near future, mysterious explosions have rocked the planet, setting off a series of supernatural events known as the Death Stranding. With spectral creatures plaguing the landscape, and the planet on the verge of a mass extinction, it’s up to Sam Bridges to journey across the ravaged wasteland and save mankind from impending annihilation.”

Interested? Well, then you’ll be excited come this afternoon.

Conclusion

Death Stranding is finally coming to PC July 14, and you get a wearable head-crab in-game. What more could you want? But if you’re really impatient, or just have a potato PC like I do, you can get Death Stranding on the PS4 right now. It’s been out for a while, so the price is pretty low. If you want a chance to experience the most realistic walking simulator ever, then try the game out. At the very least, you’ll be confused, but in a good way.
