Nearly 2 million cases of COVID-19 in the United States have gone been confirmed to this point, with more than 110,000 deaths. With that count, many U.S. citizens have been quarantining in an effort to halt the transmission of the pandemic. However, many are also wanting to return to life as it was before COVID-19. And limits due to the pandemic are ending. But that doesn’t mean films we want to see will necessarily resume filming.

It will still be tough for blockbusters such as Jurassic World: Dominion, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings and The Batman to get going again, Comic Book reported.

Bringing together the mass amount of folks needed to make a mega-budget film? It will reportedly be a difficult development. Studios will probably go conservative here in holding off. Hollywood has already pushed back over re-opening too soon, relatively.

The clear plan of action would be to start operations in the wake of COVID-19 restrictions on television initially.

That would permit studios and filmmakers the chance to see how things go before moving onto the blockbusters.

However, it’s not apples-to-apples, as shooting a massive production is different from doing TV.

The Wrap was considering post-pandemic restriction difficulties of which productions must deal. In doing so, the publication said that “studios are still determining how the implementation of these protocols will be carried out on projects of various sizes, particularly blockbusters like Jurassic World: Dominion, The Batman, and Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.

“Insurance and the specific protocols for various shooting locations in other states and countries are also issues that are still to be resolved.”

U.S. studios that film in other nations will additionally need to work with laws specific to those countries and immigration. That will have a different complexion than in the U.S. The U.S. federal government wants to restore economic success, U.S. studios may discover that they are dealing with that less-tight restrictions.
