If you didn’t watch pro wrestling in the mid 2010’s, you might have missed out on the career of Kelly Kelly. The performer, who’s real name, Barbie Blank, is a much better pro wrestling name, and boggles my mind that they didn’t go with her real name. She’s gone through some various projects in her post-WWE career. The former Diva’s Champion sat down with the THS wrestling boys at LAX Fan Fest this past March. In her time outside of the ring, the former Kelly Kelly is pretty damn busy. As she talks about in the interview, she starred in the feature film, Disturbing The Peace with Guy Pearce. Her other business ventures and especially her Instagram page are booming. Another interesting thing from the interview is her view on the time she spent with WWE. Like most people from that era, she’s incredibly thankful. She also says she’s ready anytime that phone rings from Titan Towers in Connecticut.
Kelly Kelly recently returned to the WWE at the Royal Rumble in 2020. While her time in the ring was shorter than some of her fans would have liked, she performed admirably. She looks like she could actually perform better than her peak in the 2010’s. Who knows if another return could be in the cards for the former champion.
