After countless issues and the COVID-19 epidemic, The Last of Us 2 will be hitting the market in June 19th. The survival game has done just that survived and I for one can’t wait. Wake me up when it gets here.

The Last of Us

Just a little back story, The Last of Us 2 was to be released last year. But Naughty Dog being the perfectionist they are, moved it back to May 2020. The official reason given by Naughty Dog is that the company wanted to ensure that the game was completed in its entirety before release without putting undue stress on developers. But there is hope again with the News of the game finally being released in June.

Sony took to Playstation.blog to drop the news about the game details and to thanked PlayStation players for their patience and support during these delays. As fans know, the game has been delayed several times. Sony states that the game will release despite current ongoing issues with the pandemic. They also spelled the tea about Sucker Punch’s Ghost of Tsushima dropping on July 17th.

Things are looking up for Naughty Dog studios. Just last month, HBO was working and revealed that a TV show based on the first game was in the works. And fans were excited after years of waiting for an Uncharted film adaptation. In fact there’s a Youtube short film starring Nathan Fillion switch is pretty cool.

And with that, this just may be my most anticipated game for this year. With it’s beautiful and stunning visuals to it’s enduring story. Hopefully the current release date is the last.
