For those who missed seeing Spider-Man: Far From Home in the theaters, well, you’re in a ton of luck.
As reported by THR, Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures are taking a page from Avengers: Endgame and re-releasing the film. Now the only small difference is that there will be an additional four minutes of footage in the re-release.
Far From Home re-release to feature new footage
Rumors are suggesting the additional four minutes of Far From Home footage is the scene in which Spidey took down some criminals before talking to the police for a moment. The rumor has not yet been confirmed. LikewiseSony has not yet revealed the additional scene, either. They are keeping quite, assuredly to maintain the surprise factor for the fans. Still, it would be pretty awesome to see that scene included.
The announcement of the Far From Home re-release comes hot on the hills of the bombshell news that Sony and Marvel are ending their partnership for the franchise. Pehap Marvel is trying to eek out as many dollars as it can before the Spider-Man franchise reverts back to Sony fully. As of right now, the web-slinger’s future is completely up in the air. With so much of of Homecoming and Far From Home being dependent on the MCU and its story lines…. Sony is definitely going to have it’s work cut out for it.
The Spider-Man: Far From Home re-release kicks off on Thursday, August 29th, just ahead of the Labor Day Weekend.
