Borderlands 3 – Children of the Vault

2K Games is showing an in-depth look of Borderlands 3 at E3 2019 that gave us a closer look at some of the games new features, one of which gamers have been missing in several other games, Split-Screen Co-Op. Additionally, we’ll see character skin loot drops, loot selling and sharing among friends, and color customizing your skins for both cosmetics and weapons. There are also three new playable characters including, Moze the Gunner, Amara the Siren, and FL4K the Beastmaster.

Borderlands 3 First Impressions

After the presentation, they released us to play a demo of Borderlands 3 and at first, some of the new features weren’t very noticeable, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Once I got the chance to try Amara the Siren, they stood out a little bit more and I enjoyed what I was seeing, though it did take some time to adjust. During the limited time I had to play, I mostly cycled through trying out new weapons and explosives. As I progressed through the demo I got the chance to unlock some of her Action Skills to build up one of her three skills trees: Brawl, Mystical Assault and Fist of the Element.

What I am most excited about is that Borderlands 3 is bringing back local Co-Op, which is almost non-existent these days. When it releases September 13, 2019, we will get to experience playing video games with friends like we used to. Before the end of the show I’ll be heading back for a second round where they’ll let me capture some gameplay to share with you, so stay tuned for more updates on Bordlands 3. Also make sure to keep checking in for all the latest news and reviews from E3 2019!
