5 – Time To Heal
As I said earlier, with Benioff and Weiss looking to be in the lead for first release and Avatar mixed in as well, the release date for Rian’s first film could be many years down the road. In the Star Wars world alone we will have had 2-4 films released, and most likely a half dozen tv shows for the streaming service.
Time heals all wounds. The once massively despised prequels are now accepted, flaws and all, and are liked more than they once were. Solo has gained much more acceptance as being a good/fun movie since its DVD release. If Rian’s first new movie of his trilogy is 4-7 years down the road, attitudes will have time to soften and change towards TLJ. His new trilogy should meet a more accepting audience.
