Fans got very excited upon hearing a recent rumor about Star Wars Rebels character Sabine Wren. It seems someone spotted Sabine’s helmet, at least in digital form, on the set of The Mandalorian. Starring Pedro Pascal, The Mandalorian follows a lone gunfighter through the Outer Rim 5-7 years after the fall of the Empire. The timing for the Star Wars character’s appearance is certainly right. Therefore, if Sabine voice actor Tiya Sircar has her way, she’ll “will the Universe” to make a live-action Sabine appearance happen.

A fan on twitter recently asked the Texas-born actress if she’d be opposed to reprising her role as Sabine Wren. Sircar responded enthusiastically to the contrary:

Will Sabine Wren Make a Live-Action Appearance?

We last saw Sabine Wren at the conclusion of Rebels. She and Ahsoka Tano were taking off in search of Ezra Bridger. We know that took place after the events of Return of the Jedi. Conversely, we don’t know exactly when. Their journey could very well take them through the Outer Rim during The Mandalorian’s timeline. Notwithstanding, if Sabine does make an appearance in the series, Sircar wants to be the one to do it. Speaking with ComicBook.com, Sircar discussed what Sabine Wren, and portraying the character, means to the actress.

“She’s just an inspiration, to me anyway, and I hope to young girls and boys. Maybe just the fact that, the more and more female characters like that we get to see, I feel will change the conversation about the kinds of female characters and the importance of female characters. Little girls can maybe, hopefully, look up to her, but also little boys too. The more little boys can watch this capable, strong, kick-butt character, who just happens to be a girl, their perspectives will hopefully change.”

We recently presented a list of characters we’d like to see in live-action, and Sabine Wren is, of course, among them. Tiya Sircar is more than capable of bringing her animated alter-ego to life. Perhaps The Mandalorian will give the character that chance. She’d make a fine addition to a cast that already includes Pascal, Gina Carano, Carl Weathers, and Nick Nolte in a surprising role.

Keep willing that Universe, Tiya.
