Towards the end of The Flash Season 4, we began to get some hints and clues to something going on with Caitlin Snow’s (Danielle Panabaker) father. Supposedly dead since many years back, it appears that the story of Daddy Snow is far from finished. The final episodes of Season 4 teased that Caitlin’s life as a metahuman goes back long before the particle accelerator explosion that Eobard Thawne caused.
But this also gave the indication that we will be exploring Caitlin’s family life more in the fifth season. While her father may have suffered from multiple sclerosis and passed away, it appears that we will be seeing Caitlin’s dad in the flesh this season! We at That Hashtag Show have a new character breakdown to reveal to all you Flash fans as the show is currently casting Dr. Thomas Snow who will be a recurring guest star in Season 5.
Described as a Caucasian male in his 50’s, Dr. Snow is an extremely intelligent geneticist who has been MIA for a few decades. As he returns to Central City, Dr. Snow will do his best to make up for lost time with his daughter Caitlin and his wife Carla. But what they don’t know about Thomas is that he is keeping a big and mysterious secret.
We have been hearing since San Diego Comic-Con, from Panabaker included, that we’ll be exploring Caitlin’s background a lot this season. As she explores where her powers came from, this may lead to the introduction of her father. What could this big secret be that he is hiding? Whatever it is, it wouldn’t surprise us if his secret may have something to do with why Caitlin has been a metahuman since childhood.
Given that he is set to be a recurring guest star, whoever gets the role, this may lead to the return of Susan Walters’ Carla Tannhauser, who portrays Caitlin’s mom.
