Debuting in 1999 with a vivid sci-fi vision, Farscape quietly felt years ahead of the curve. This has only been reiterated in recent years, where more and more mainstream sci-fi seems to be pulling from the same creative direction as the Henson and Hallmark collaboration. The show focuses on a ragtag group who seek to escape the militaristic Peacekeepers across the cosmos. Farscape embraced a sometimes kooky, sometimes grim, and always entertaining approach to the genre.

The result was a memorably weird franchise that stood out from its peers. There’s a reason fans of the show have been deeply invested in it for a quarter of a century For long-time fans of Farscape and curious newbies alike, Shout! TV is celebrating the anniversary of the show with some very exciting developments.
