THE FIRST TWO EPISODES OF “TÚ TAMBIÉN LO HARÍAS”

The series kicks off with the 911 call made by someone on a bus that is being robbed. By the time the authorities arrive, someone has gotten away. Left is a group of people on the bus that are in shock after what they have witnessed. In the bus the police have also discovered three dead bodies.

It’s a race for the investigators to try and figure out what happened. But the driver of the bus and passengers, are not being as cooperative as police would like. Come to find out, the three dead bodies were actually the robbers. As they were taking everyone’s valuables a man in a hoodie stood up from the back and killed all three robbers, then got away as police approached.

Tú También lo Harías

Now its up to investigators to try and figure out who is the murderer. Regardless if the three people he killed were criminals. But there is a problem, despite getting some information from the victims, they are not willing to give specific information on their savior. Throughout the series we see the tense cat and mouse game between authorities, the victims, and a man who is scarred by a system that unjustly put him in jail.

REVIEW

“Tú También lo Harías” is another great Spanish thriller. I would say in the same vein as the hit series, “La Casa de Papel” otherwise known as “Money Heist” in English. What it does so well is blur the lines between what is wrong and what is right. We are presented with both perspectives of the chase as well as the perspective of the victims who feel indebted to the man that saved them on the bus.

There is also something about the pacing in Spanish thrillers that I really enjoy. In the case of this series, they put you right into the action and are immediately on the chase. Exposition for the characters is presented as necessary. The series prioritizes tension and keeping us on edge to the chess match that we are watching.

Overall, “Tú También lo Harías” is a exciting addition to Apple TV+ that will have you ready for the next episode.
