Natasha Lyonne has been in everything it seems, everything but the MCU. Now she’ll be joining up with Marvel’s first family in The Fantastic Four. According to Deadline, she’ll be joining up with Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards (aka Mr. Fantastic), Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm (aka the Invisible Woman), Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm (aka the Human Torch) and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm (aka the Thing). In addition, Julia Garner is on board to play Shalla-Bal, a version of the Silver Surfer. They’ve also cast Ralph Ineson as the villain, Galactus. Paul Walter-Houser and John Malkovich have also joined the cast in mystery roles.
Matt Shakman is on board to direct from a script by Eric Pearson, Josh Friedman, Jeff Kaplan, and Ian Springer. Peter Cameron (WandaVision) has also done some writing on the project. Kevin Feige is producing for Marvel Studios. The film is set to release in theaters on July 25th, 2025.
Lyonne has seen her star rise to considerable places in recent years. She’s starred in mostly TV, but seen roles in Poker Face, Orange Is The New Black, and Russian Doll. She also directed the Netflix Comedy Special Jacqueline Novak: Get On Your Knees this year. She’s got Klara and the Sun coming up alongside movies like His Three Daughters and The Smurfs.
