Get ready for a new series to scratch that crime drama itch. Presumed Innocent premieres on Apple TV+ in June.

Based on The New York Times bestselling novel of the same name by Scott Turow, the gripping series takes viewers on a journey through the horrific murder that upends the Chicago Prosecuting Attorney’s office when chief deputy prosecutor Rusty Sabich is suspected of the crime. The series explores obsession, sex, politics, and the power and limits of love, as the accused fights to hold his family and marriage together.

Jake Gyllenhaal stars as prosecutor Rusty Sabich. The ensemble cast also includes Ruth Negga, Bill Camp, O-T Fagbenle, Chase Infiniti, Elizabeth Marvel, Nana Mensah, Renate Reinsve, Peter Sarsgaard, and Kingston Rumi Southwick. 

Presumed Innocent comes from prolific TV producer David E. Kelley (Big Little Lies, Ally McBeal, The Practice). Kelley serves as showrunner and executive producer on the series. The show comes from Warner Bros. Television, David E. Kelley Productions, and Bad Robot; J.J. Abrams also serves as an executive producer.

Additional EPs include Turow, Gyllenhaal, Matthew Tinker. Dustin Thomason, Sharr White, and Miki Johnson. Anne Sewitsky serves as executive producer and directs episodes 1, 2, and 8, while Greg Yaitanes executive produces and directs episodes 3-7.

Presumed Innocent launches its eight-episode run on Apple TV+ June 12. New episodes will then air weekly on Wednesdays through July 24.
