Spy x Family season 2 Ep. 7 “Who Is This Mission For?” is a quiet moment before the very much impending storm. Yor gets a quiet moment to think about what and who she’s really fighting for, while Anya and Loid gets a nice day off playing around on the luxury cruise ship. Of course, this is all after an action-packed beginning where Yor fights a chain and sickle-wielding assassin. This is one of the more action-filled and dramatic arcs of the anime, after all.

Spy x Family Season 2 Ep. 7 “Who Is This Mission For?”: Synopsis
Normally, this would be the part of my review where I give you all a detailed and spoiler-filled plot summary of Spy x Family season 2 Ep. 7 “Who Is This Mission For?”. However, this is the spoiler-free version of my usual reviews. Thus, you will all get the official synopsis from Crunchyroll instead. You can check that out below:
Loid tries to pick out souvenirs that will make him look like a fun and happy dad so he can cheer Anya up. Meanwhile, Yor was facing off with Sickle-and-Chain Barnaby.
Spy x Family Season 2 Ep. 7 “Who Is This Mission For?”: The Good
As you can see after watching it: Spy x Family season 2 Ep. 7 “Who Is This Mission For?” has everything you could ever want in terms of story. It’s got action, ridiculous comedy, and even melancholic drama. It’s like the entire anime condensed into a single episode here. All made possible by a combination of Yor’s insane physique, Anya’s childish cuteness, and Loid’s comedically serious personality.
However, the animation of Spy x Family season 2 Ep. 7 “Who Is This Mission For?” deserves some praise too. Wit Studio and Cloverworks really did well in animating Yor’s battle with Sickle-and-Chain Barnaby. You could feel the sparks fly as Yor’s dagger things and Barnaby’s weapons made contact.
And then finally, the music of Spy x Family season 2 Ep. 7 “Who Is This Mission For?” is just as spot-on as the previous episodes. In particular, (K)NoW_NAME did a magnificent job with the quiet moments. The sound of the somber piano mixed in with the air conditioning fans as Yor sits in the dark was just perfect for the scene.
Spy x Family Season 2 Ep. 7 “Who Is This Mission For?”: The Bad
Do you not like action, comedy, or drama? Then frankly, I’m not sure why you’re watching Spy x Family season 2 Ep. 7 “Who Is This Mission For?”. In fact, if you’re 32 episodes into this whole anime and you still don’t like it, I’m not sure why you’re still watching. I’m not even sure what to recommend to you at this point. Maybe a nice horror anime like The Ancient Magus’ Bride is more your thing? Just a thought here.
