It’s time to become a woman. And as it turns out, it’s not easy. Netflix revealed the trailer for You Are So Not Invited To My Bat Mitzvah today.
The comedy follows lifelong best friends Stacy and Lydia, who have long dreamt of epic bat mitzvahs. But when popular boy Andy and Hebrew school drama come between them, their perfect plans go comically awry.

The movie clearly emphasizes family. But that’s not just part of the You Are So Not Invited To My Bat Mitzvah plot. The project is a real family affair, starring Adam Sandler, his wife Jackie Sandler, and their daughters Sadie and Sunny Sandler. Sandler also produces with Tim Herlihy for Happy Madison.
The cast also features Idina Menzel, Samantha Lorraine, Dylan Hoffman, Sarah Sherman, Dan Bulla, Ido Mosseri, Jackie Hoffman, Zaara Kuttemperoor, and Luis Guzmán.
You Are So Not Invited To My Bat Mitzvah adapts the book by Fiona Rosenbloom. Alison Peck wrote the screenplay, and Sammi Cohen directed.
