Your favorite Earth-loving angel and demon duo return this summer with a new installment of Good Omens.
After undermining the Antichrist and averting armageddon last season, what will Aziraphale and Crowley do next? Well, it has something to do with a certain arcangel’s sudden appearance in Soho.
Check out the season 2 trailer for Good Omens below.
Season 2 of the fantasy series will see Michael Sheen and David Tennant reprise their roles as the angel Aziraphale and the demon Crowley respectively. As you can see from the trailer, Jon Hamm’s arcangel Gabriel will also play a central role in season 2. He appears to have lost his memory – but that won’t stop him from hitching his wagon to Aziraphale’s, so to speak.
Good Omens takes a unique approach to casting, as some actors from season 1 will reprise their roles, while others will return but as different characters. Plus, season 2 will also add some entirely new faces. Doon Mackichan and Gloria Obianyo reprise their roles as the archangels Michael and Uriel. Familiar faces playing different characters include Miranda Richardson as demon Shax, Maggie Service as Maggie, and Nina Sosanya as Nina. Finally, look out for new season 2 stars Liz Carr as angel Saraqael, Quelin Sepulveda as angel Muriel, and Shelley Conn as demon Beelzebub.
The first season of Good Omens adapted the book of the same name by acclaimed authors Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman. The show proved so popular with fans that Prime Video opted to order a second season. As executive producer and co-showrunner, Gaiman worked with Douglas Mackinnon to develop a new storyline for the series.
Good Omens season 2 premieres on July 28. You can stream the first season now on Prime Video.
