Haven’t had enough of Megumin in KonoSuba? Well, you needn’t worry about that. After all, she getting her very own anime series starring her…and her Explosion magic, of course.

A Megumin on This Wonderful World?!

"KonoSuba: An Explosion on This Wonderful World!" teaser visual.
When she gets that look in her eyes, you know that an explosion are incoming.

KonoSuba‘s official Twitter account recently announced that the spinoff light novel and manga series KonoSuba: An Explosion on This Wonderful World! is getting an anime adaptation. As you might guess from the title and the teaser visual above, this spinoff anime will star Megumin as the main character. Presumably, it will also star her Explosion magic. After all, you can’t have Megumin appear and not have her blow stuff up.

Unfortunately, that’s all we have on the KonoSuba: An Explosion on This Wonderful World! anime adaptation for now. The Twitter announcement gives no further details aside from just announcing the anime. No release window or anything. Check back here later for more info on this anime when we get it.

KonoSuba: God’s Blessing on This Wonderful World! ~ Details

That thumbnail with Aqua perfectly describes this anime in a single scene.

KonoSuba: God’s Blessing on This Wonderful World! is the anime adaptation of the light novel of the same name by Natsume Akatsuki (Combatants Will Be Dispatched!). The anime featured Studio Deen (Vampire Knight, Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan, Log Horizon seasons 2 and 3) as the animation studio behind it for seasons 1 and 2, before Drive took over for the upcoming season 3. Incidentally, Drive will also be animating KonoSuba: An Explosion on This Wonderful World!. Considering the teaser visual, you can expect some fairly high quality work.

As for what KonoSuba: God’s Blessing on This Wonderful World! is about? Well, Crunchyroll has an official synopsis for us to giggle at. Check it out below:

“After a traffic accident, Kazuma Sato’s disappointingly brief life was supposed to be over, but he wakes up to see a beautiful girl before him. She claims to be a goddess, Aqua, and asks if he would like to go to another world and bring only one thing with him. Kazuma decides to bring the goddess herself, and they are transported to a fantasy world filled with adventure, ruled by a demon king. Now Kazuma only wants to live in peace, but Aqua wants to solve many of this world’s problems, and the demon king will only turn a blind eye for so long…”

You can watch KonoSuba: God’s Blessing on This Wonderful World! exclusively on Crunchyroll. Best of all, it’s an older anime, so you don’t have to pay anything to watch it.
