After news broke that Florence Pugh was in the running for Princess Irulan, the Dune: Part Two casting mill started churning. Now, according to Deadline, Elvis actor Austin Butler is being eyed for the role of Feyd-Rautha. They’ll join Timothée Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Zendaya, and Josh Brolin, who are returning from the first film. Director, Screenwriter, and Producer Denis Villeneuve is also back on board for the sequel.

Production on the film is slated for this Fall with an October 20th, 2023 release date.

In the original David Lynch film, musician Sting played the villainous Feyd-Rautha. He’s the nephew of Baron Harkonnen. In Dune: Part Two, he’s supposed to play a huge role.

Austin Butler previously played Tex in Quentin Tarantino‘s Once Upon A Time In Hollywood, and is playing Elvis in the highly-anticipated biopic, Elvis.
