Good news, mystery fans. If you missed Death on the Nile in theaters, or just want a chance to catch all the clues on a rewatch, you’ll be able to stream the film at home soon.
Plus, you’ll have a double opportunity to watch. The adaptation of the Agatha Christie mystery will stream on both HBO Max and Hulu beginning March 29.
Based on Christie’s 1937 novel, Death on the Nile is a daring mystery-thriller about the emotional chaos and deadly consequences triggered by obsessive love. Belgian sleuth Hercule Poirot’s Egyptian vacation aboard a glamorous river steamer turns into a terrifying search for a murderer when a picture-perfect couple’s idyllic honeymoon is tragically cut short. This dramatic tale features enough wicked twists and turns to leave audiences guessing until the final, shocking denouement.
The film boasts a star-studded cast, including the return of Kenneth Branagh as Detective Poirot. (Branagh previously played the character in 2017’s Murder on the Orient Express.) The film also stars Tom Bateman, Annette Bening, Russell Brand, Ali Fazal, Dawn French, Gal Gadot, Armie Hammer, Rose Leslie; Emma Mackey, Sophie Okonedo, Jennifer Saunders, and Letitia Wright.
Branagh directs Death on the Nile as well as playing the lead investigator. Filmed with 65mm Panavision cameras in late 2019, Death on the Nile transports audiences to the 1930s, recreating many of the locations that served as inspiration for Christie’s glamorous, high society thriller.
So, that’s what you can expect from this mystery. Now the only question left is… can you sleuth out the killer alongside Poirot?
Death on the Nile begins streaming on Hulu and HBO Max March 29.
