With Star Wars: The Book of Boba Fett ending next week, many Star Wars fans are asking what’s next? We have seen rumors about The Bad Batch coming this spring, but other than that we really don’t know. Well, today we might of thanks to a now-deleted tweet from Disney Plus executive Brandon San Giovanni about the Obi-Wan Kenobi series.
Will The Obi-Wan Kenobi Series Release In May
OK, just as I say in all my rumor watches, please take whatever you read next with a grain of salt. But, according to a tweet from Disney Plus executive Brandon San Giovanni it seems that the Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi series will hit Disney+ in May. The tweet read, “Our very own Obi-Wan wi [sic] be saying “hello, there,” on Disney+… May 2022.”
Of course, this tweet is now deleted and the account is protected but sources at The Hollywood Reporter are confirming that this Tweet is correct.
“And just before we hit send on the newsletter, we saw a flurry of sites writing about a now deleted tweet revealing the May debut of the hotly-anticipated Obi-Wan Kenobi Disney+ series. Our own sourcing corroborates the rumor, but it’s not official until it’s official.”
But just like The Hollywood Reporter said “it’s not official until it is official. The timing would make sense, May is going to be a big month for Star Wars. Of course, we have Star Wars Day (May the 4th) but don’t forget Celebration is also in May, and I wouldn’t put it past them to give fans attending the first look then releasing it to the public. But who knows, whenever it releases we already know fans will be excited.
