It’s time to open the metaphorical doors to adventure… by hitting “play” on this YouTube video.
(Hey, adventuring is easier than I thought!)
The stars of Paramount’s upcoming action-adventure romantic comedy The Lost City are excited to show you the film’s official trailer. So excited, they’re finishing each other’s sentences.
And ruining each other’s adventure metaphors. It’s a spectrum, really.
See Channing Tatum, Sandra Bullock, and Daniel Radcliffe introduce The Lost City trailer below.
The new movie draws inspiration from films like Romancing the Stone, as two regular people have adventure thrust upon them when a rich guy takes his favorite novel a bit too seriously. Both Bullock and Tatum have a strong history of making people laugh on screen. And paired with how well Radcliffe can do “eccentric,” this one should be a fun watch.
Here’s the official synopsis of The Lost City from Paramount:
Brilliant, but reclusive author Loretta Sage (Sandra Bullock) has spent her career writing about exotic places in her popular romance-adventure novels featuring handsome cover model Alan (Channing Tatum), who has dedicated his life to embodying the hero character, “Dash.” While on tour promoting her new book with Alan, Loretta is kidnapped by an eccentric billionaire (Daniel Radcliffe) who hopes that she can lead him to the ancient lost city’s treasure from her latest story. Wanting to prove that he can be a hero in real life and not just on the pages of her books, Alan sets off to rescue her. Thrust into an epic jungle adventure, the unlikely pair will need to work together to survive the elements and find the ancient treasure before it’s lost forever.
The feature comes from directors Adam Nee and Aaron Nee. In addition to Bullock, Tatum, and Radcliffe, the movie also stars Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Oscar Nuñez, Patti Harrison, and Bowen Yang.
You can see The Lost City in theaters March 25, 2022.
