It’s been awhile since we’ve had any Chucky news. The SyFy series is coming out this Fall on SYFY and USA Network. Creator Don Mancini posted the short clip to his Twitter today. Brad Dourif and Jennifer Tilly are back for the show in addition to Fiona Dourif, Alex Vincent, and Christine Elise. There’s still no footage from the show, so all we have are the voices of Chucky and Tiffany.
The new series continues the storyline from the original movies (not counting the remake). The show is a fresh take on the series that’ll continue the legacy of Chucky while also using the television format to it’s advantage.
The series synopsis goes like this:
After a vintage Chucky doll turns up at a suburban yard sale, an idyllic American town is thrown into chaos as a series of horrifying murders begin to expose the town’s hypocrisies and secrets. Meanwhile, the arrival of enemies — and allies — from Chucky’s past threatens to expose the truth behind the killings, as well as the demon doll’s untold origins as a seemingly ordinary child who somehow became this notorious monster.
