Today on what did Mark Hamill Tweet, we get another fun and very interesting #truestory from Hamill. It seems that studio execs were very concerned about some nudity in Star Wars: A New Hope. We as it goes it seems that the nudity they were talking about was not from a human character but from the giant Wookiee himself, Chewbacca. Yeah, they were worried about the big tall HAIRY beast prancing around naked. Mark gave us the little did you know after he retweeted a tweet of Chewbacca’s concept art shared by Joseph Gordon-Levitt.
“FUN FACT: Very early in the shooting of #SW studio execs expressed deep concern that Chewie didn’t wear any pants & suggested he wear a pair of lederhosen. That they would focus on this amidst all the grotesque elements in the script made us laugh (& a bit worried) #truestory”
It sure would be an interesting sight to see, Chewbacca running around in some lederhosen. You can see Hamill thought so as well since there were other “grotesque elements” that they could have focused on instead. Also, as we all know, nothing changed and Chewbacca did the whole Skywalker Saga in his birthday suit.
