If you had only two weeks to live, how would you spend them? In Maisie Williams’ newest series, she decides to spend them murdering.
HBO Max has acquired Two Weeks To Live, a Sky production currently airing in the UK. The dark comedy limited series also stars Fleabag’s Sian Clifford.
Watch a preview for the series below.
Two Weeks To Live tells a comic tale of love and revenge born from a seemingly harmless prank that goes terribly wrong. The story follows Kim Noakes (Williams), an early 20-something oddball. Since the murder of her father, she’s been sequestered away in the wilderness with her doomsday-prepping mother (Clifford). But then Kim becomes convinced the world will end in two weeks. With the clock ticking, she sets off on a belated coming-of-age adventure to find her dad’s killer.
Williams, of course, previously showed off some deadly skills as Arya Stark in Game of Thrones. It looks like Two Weeks To Live will allow her to deal out deadly blows in a more fun way.
I’m personally excited to see Clifford take on a new comedic role after Fleabag. (That BAFTA was well-earned.) Although I am side eyeing the entertainment industry a bit for casting her as Williams’ mother. The two barely scrape a 15 year age difference in real life. Still, based on the trailer it looks like the two will play off each other in a fun way.
If the preview has you itching to start the series, you don’t have long to wait. Two Weeks To Live hits HBO Max on November 5.
