Were you hoping to get tickets to see Back To The Beginning? Yes? You probably had a hell of a time this morning on Ticketmaster’s website trying to get them. The tickets for the celebration of Black Sabbath and heavy metal sold out in 16 minutes. The full show goes on, on July 5th, 2025 in Birmingham, UK. TIckets started at £197.50 ($250-ish) and went up to £2,932.50 ($3700-ish) for the “Ultimate Side of Stage Experience.” The ticket queue process that Ticketmaster implemented a couple of years ago to help fight against bots and scalpers seemingly didn’t do its job or the demand for this show was just too great with people reporting numbers in line over 500,000. Yeah, that sounds miserable.

Some fans online were reporting that they were 800th in line and still didn’t get tickets and others claiming that the presale process was a joke. So either Ticketmaster is just in over their head with demand or something else is going on with fans that wanted to see Black Sabbath play their final show ever.

Back To The Beginning sees the reunion of Black Sabbath with their four original members, Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward. The Black Sabbath set will go on after an apparent final Ozzy Osbourne solo set as well. Sharon Osbourne confirmed this in an interview with the BBC. “Ozzy didn’t have a chance to say goodbye to his friends, to his fans, and he feels there’s no been no full stop. This is his full stop.”

What Has Ozzy Been Up To? Who Else Is Playing At Back To The Beginning?

Osbourne has been off stage since 2018 with various health issues and the COVID-19 pandemic didn’t help matters with a proposed UK tour being postponed for almost 6 years. He’s played live in 2022 at the Commonwealth Games Closing Ceremony and the NFL Kickoff. He was slated to perform at the 2023 Power Trip festival alongside Iron Maiden, Guns N’ Roses, Metallica, Tool, and AC/DC but he had to bow out. Judas Priest replaced him on the bill.
