At That Hashtag Show, we are passionate about film and television. 2024 has brought back some of our favorite series across all our favorite channels and streaming platforms. So, to help you catch up on what you may have missed, I’ve compiled a list of favorites from each of our reviewers!

Let’s dive in!

INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRE (AMC+)

Jessica Lancaster and I have the same favorite returning series of 2024 with AMC+ Interview with the Vampire! After season 1, I didn’t think this series could get better. Then season 2 showed up and somehow managed to level up even more. As a fan of the books, I love seeing the series perfectly blend the Vampire Chronicles into one spectacular show! Here’s to season 3 and rock star Lestat!

“Season 1 of Interview with the Vampire impressed me, but season 2 blew me away. The sophomore season dialed up the toxic romance and found new compelling ways to frame the narrative. The adaptation captures the spirit of Anne Rice’s Vampire Chronicles novels, even when it’s not just making a page-for-page translation of the story.” – Jessica Lancaster

LOVE IS BLIND (NETFLIX)

I’m a huge fan of Netflix’s Love is Blind series. I love that Kurtis Smejkal is too! “My favorite returning show is Love Is Blind. Once again Netflix proves that watching people’s lives play out in dramatic fashion for all to see is ‘must-see TV’. Both of this year’s seasons proved to be captivating, meme-worthy, and for some couples, heartwarming.

X-Men ’97 (DISNEY+)

Yes, we had this on our list of new shows, but for Hunter Bolding, it’s his favorite “returning” series.X-Men ’97 – I’m gonna count this as a returning show because it takes off where the series left off. The animation is stunning and proves that X-Men might be our most relevant superheroes.”

THE BEAR (FX/HULU)

FX/Hulu’s The Bear is a fantastic series. While season 3 was polarizing with fans, it made it to the top of Manny Gomez’s list. “The Bear – As someone who worked in restaurants with family I continue to appreciate these characters showcasing the physical and emotional toll a restaurant takes on their relationships. Nothing like a little kitchen PTSD.”

ARCANE (NETFLIX)

Benjy Kwong is coming in hot with Season 2 of Arcane on Netflix. “Nearly 3 years of waiting for season 2 pays off with gorgeous cel-shaded animation, a gripping dark fantasy plotline, and a stunning conclusion that will shatter your heart into a million pieces and grind it into a fine powder.”

FROM (MGM+)

If you enjoy horror television, Jeff Ewing has the show for you with From on MGM+. “If anything, From’s only gotten better over its three seasons. In Season 3 it’s finally started to answer some of its horrific mysteries around the creatures and the ultimate supernatural antagonist, leaving even bigger, more frightening possibilities for the characters and ending on a creative high note. With its popularity only rising, it’s at a great spot to cement its status as one of TV’s all-time horror hits.”
