This October, horror enthusiasts will have a unique opportunity to stay at the Peacock “OVERNIGHTMARE” event at The Stanley Hotel in Estes Park, Colorado! This location is renowned for its spooky history – the haunted hotel that inspired Stephen King’s The Shining.
So, in collaboration with Blumhouse, Peacock will transform The Lodge at The Stanley Hotel from Friday, October 18, to Sunday, October 20. Guests can enjoy accommodations themed around one of four Blumhouse films: Insidious, The Purge, Happy Death Day, and Freaky.
WHAT CAN GUESTS EXPECT FROM THE OVERNIGHTMARE EXPERIENCE?
So, the OVERNIGHTMARE Guests’ experience begins right at check-in, where a conci-scare-ge welcomes guests. This thrilling adventure continues throughout the weekend, featuring encounters with various characters, as well as spine-chilling moments across the venue. Highlights include the Teacup Room. This room is a haunting salon that immerses guests in the universe of the new thriller series produced by James Wan’s Atomic Monster.
Additionally, horror enthusiasts can unwind at the Blumhouse Bar. This is a perfect spot to enjoy a drink while experiencing thrills, and engage with the company’s upcoming video game, Fear the Spotlight. Then, as night falls, prepare for an unforgettable experience where the unexpected comes to life. Each evening, guests will be invited from their rooms to partake in one of four personalized, fully immersive activations inspired by Blumhouse films.
These experiences will feature interactive characters, engaging narratives, as well as spine-chilling moments. Tailored to various levels of horror, guests can confront their fears according to their comfort level. This way if you prefer a lighter scare with films like Freaky and Happy Death Day, or a more intense experience with Insidious and The Purge you’ll be accommodated.
Reservations for OVERNIGHTMARE can be made directly on The Stanley Hotel’s website. The weekend package features a two-night stay in a double occupancy room at The Lodge, an engaging Scare Experience, a complimentary welcome dinner, a $100 credit for breakfast or lunch at Brunch & Co., nightly film screenings, as well as two drink vouchers for the Blumhouse Bar for each guest.
