Tubi FIlms has revealed a first look at the upcoming Western film, The Thicket, starring Peter Dinklage. The film is based on the 2013 Joe R. Lansdale novel of the same name. In addition to the images, Tubi also announced the film’s release date of September 6. Starring alongside Dinklage, The Thicket features Juliette Lewis, Esmé Creed-Miles, Levon Hawke, Leslie Grace, and James Hetfield. Dinklage has been attached to the film since it was first announced in 2014. The film has been described as a passion project for the actor. Filming on the project wrapped in 2023 after COVID-19 delayed production in 2022.
ABOUT THE THICKET
When fierce bounty hunter Reginald Jones (Dinklage) is recruited by a desperate man to track down a ruthless killer known only as Cutthroat Bill (Lewis), he rallies a band of unlikely heroes including a grave-digging ex-slave and a street-smart woman-for-hire. Together, they embark on a perilous quest to track down Cutthroat Bill that leads them into the deadly “no-man’s-land” known as…The Thicket.
The Thicket is written by Chris Kelly, and directed by Elliott Lester. The film is procured by Tubi Films, Peter Dinklage, and David Ginsberg.
