He’s the fall guy. He’s just Ken. And now, Ryan Gosling is the producer of a zombie comedy.
Amazon MGM Studios just landed I Used to Eat Brains, Now I Eat Kale, based on the short story by Adam and Daniel Cooper, aka The Cooper Twins. The studio plans to turn the story into a feature film.
Gosling has signed on to produce the project with Jessie Henderson under their recently launched General Admission banner. I Used to Eat Brains, Now I Eat Kale is set in a “post-post-apocalyptic world,” where former zombies struggle to reintegrate into society.
Currently, Gosling is not attached to star in the feature, although since casting has yet to be announced, it’s possible his involvement could be revealed at a later date. The Cooper Twins will write the script for the feature adaptation. However, no director is currently attached to the project.
Gosling’s General Admission banner has a first-look deal with Amazon MGM Studios. The actor’s recent credits include The Fall Guy, Barbie, The Gray Man, and Bladerunner 2049. He’s both producing and starring in the upcoming Amazon MGM feature Project Hail Mary. The film, which also stars Anatomy of a Fall’s Sandra Hüller, adapts the sci-fi novel by Andy Weir.
The Cooper Twins have written and directed several short films which have made the rounds at film festivals. They’ve also won Clios and Golden Trailer awards for their work directing marketing content and editing trailers for studios like Disney, Warner Bros, and Netflix.
