Good news for Disney Parks fans eagerly awaiting the launch of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. The wait for Disney World guests ends soon when the ride officially opens this summer.

Disney Parks shared a date announcement video to their YouTube channel, revealing Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will open for the first time at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida on June 28. You can watch the official announcement video below.

The announcement clip features Grammy winner (and contributor to the ride’s soundtrack) PJ Morton, along with members of the Chase family came together with Princess Tiana and Louis in the heart of Crescent City. Though it features footage of Disney World, it doesn’t show any footage from the ride itself.

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure revamps and remodels the park’s Splash Mountain attraction. The ride will take guests on a musical adventure picking up after the events of the Disney animated feature The Princess and the Frog. You’ll join Princess Tiana on an adventure through the bayou as she prepares to host a one-of-a-kind celebration during Mardi Gras season where everyone is welcome. Along the way, you will see some familiar faces, make new friends, and travel through the bayou into the next chapter of Tiana’s story. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will also feature original music and some familiar tunes from the beloved movie, and as well as the thrilling 50-foot drop!

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure opens in Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando on June 28. The same attraction is also scheduled to open at Disneyland Park in California later this year.
