It’s almost time to recommence Clone Club. The upcoming series set in the grounded sci-fi world of Orphan Black debuts on AMC this summer. But first we have a closer look at Krysten Ritter leading Orphan Black: Echoes in the show’s first official trailer. Check it out below.
Here’s the official synopsis of Orphan Black: Echoes from AMC:
Set in the near future, Orphan Black: Echoes takes a deep dive into the exploration of the scientific manipulation of human existence. It follows a group of women as they weave their way into each other’s lives and embark on a thrilling journey, unraveling the mystery of their identity and uncovering a wrenching story of love and betrayal.
The series stars Ritter (Marvel’s Jessica Jones, Love and Death) as Lucy, a woman with an unimaginable origin story, trying to find her place in the world. Ritter also serves as an executive producer on the series.
In addition to Ritter, the cast also includes Keeley Hawes (Bodyguard, It’s A Sin, Amanda Fix (North of Normal, High School), Avan Jogia (Now Apocalypse, Zombieland: Double Tap), Rya Kihlstedt (A Teacher, One Mississippi) and James Hiroyuki Liao (Barry, The Dropout).
Anna Fishko (The Society, Fear the Walking Dead) serves as creator, writer, showrunner, and executive producer on the show. John Fawcett, the co-creator of the original Orphan Black series, executive produces and directs Echoes. David Fortier and Ivan Schneeberg, former Orphan Black EPs, also return for this series.
Orphan Black: Echoes premieres on AMC, AMC+, and BBC America on Sunday, June 23.
