The Legendary Pitch Turtle

The Pitch Turtle statue is a faithful recreation of the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles figure prototype sculpted by Steve Varner and Eddy Mosqueda of Varner Studios in 1986. This prototype was instrumental in convincing TMNT co-creators Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird to embark on the journey of bringing the Turtle brothers to life in toy form. By 3D scanning an original casting from the Varner Studios archives, the statue has been upscaled to approximately 9 inches, showcasing the intricate details and original tool markings from the sculpting process.

The “Clay Edition” mirrors the original clay sculpture’s appearance, while the “Wax Edition” represents the wax sculpture stage that precedes the final molds.
