Kaiju No. 8 is one of the hottest of Shonen Jump’s manga series. Truly, creator Naoya Matsumoto had a hit on their hands when they wrote up this military science fantasy manga starring a member of a kaiji corpse cleanup detail. The only surprise here is how long it took to get an anime adaptation at long last. What isn’t surprising though is how much hype this long-awaited anime is getting. How else do you explain all the hype it’s getting, especially in the form of a new teaser trailer and key visual? Don’t believe me? Then why not check out both of them below, and see if you too are hyped up about this upcoming anime series from Production I.G (Ghost in the Shell, Kuroko’s Bastketball, Psycho-Pass)?

Kaiju No. 8 Teaser and Key Visual 2: Details

With a sick opening theme to boot!

The official Twitter account of Kaiju No. 8 is proud to post a Tweet revealing a new teaser trailer for the upcoming anime adaptation. Said teaser is only 26 seconds long, but it’s more than enough to give us that sneak peek. Especially with the catchy opening theme music “Abyss” by Dominic Richard Harrison (professionally known as YungBlud) playing in the background. It fits perfectly with the main character Kafka Hibino’s (voiced by Masaya Fukunishi) words in this teaser as he roars out his defiance.

That’s not all though. Comic Natalie also has a brand new second key visual for Kaiju No. 8 to further amp up the hype. You can check that out below:

You can already tell that they are going for a very distinct art style with the animation.

Kaiju No. 8 will make its airing and streaming debut on April 13, 2024. You can watch this anime when it premieres only on Crunchyroll.
