No matter what you think about Solo Leveling, you can’t deny that it’s a hit. A veritable hit, no less. It seems that this anime is just as big a hit as the South Korean web novel/webtoon by Chugong it was based on. In fact, it’s so much of a hit that it’s getting something few anime have received in recent times: a documentary series. And for an ongoing anime to boot. Don’t believe me? Then why not check out the official trailer from Crunchyroll below, and see if you want to see the making of the anime for yourself?
The Leveling of Solo Leveling: Details
Crunchyroll in collaboration with Paris-based production company AllSo is proud to announce the impending premiere of The Leveling of Solo Leveling. This will be a two-part documentary detailing the making of the anime adaptation of Solo Leveling.
As for what this documentary is specifically about? Well, according to Crunchyroll: this documentary will feature “interviews with over 20 individuals, ranging from fans to the creators and producers behind Solo Leveling“. Viewers will go on a “journey to Korea, where the documentary visits D&C Media and Redice Studio, shedding light on the transition of Solo Leveling from text to art“. After that, they then head to Japan, where they will feature “insights from the teams at Crunchyroll, Aniplex and A-1 Pictures“. That’s not all though. Lastly, this documentary will feature an exclusive interview with Shunsuke Nakashige: the director behind the anime. I don’t know about you, but this seems to be a pretty complete documentary here.
Even better: you won’t have to wait long before you can see this documentary. The Leveling of Solo Leveling will make its streaming debut on March 4, 2024 at 3:30 PM (PST). Astute readers will notice that date is today. Thus, if you’re reading this, then you can watch it right now on Crunchyroll as soon as that time rolls around. While you’re waiting, you can watch the anime itself also on Crunchyroll.
Tune back in to THS to find out more about Solo Leveling and other anime when we do.
