Comic conventions have definitely changed and expanded over time. But you’ve never experienced one quite like this before. San Diego Comic-Con will officially go where it never has before when it launches Comic Con: The Cruise next year.
Yup, you read that right: a comic-con cruise. Described as “the ultimate fan adventure,” the full-ship charter will sail from Tampa, Florida to Cozumel, Mexico, cruising the Caribbean sea from February 5 – 9, 2025. Like its convention center event counterpart, the cruise will immerse you in pop culture alongside special celebrity guests.
So far, confirmed attendees include guest host Felicia Day, Warwick Davis, George Takei, Ernie Hudson, Mary McDonnell, Michael Trucco, and author Robb Pearlman. And according to SDCC organizers, the cruise will allow fans more interaction than ever before with these celebrity guests, as they will “step off the stage and screen to dine, party, and interact with you.”
Comic-Con: The Cruise will take place on Royal Caribbean’s Serenade of the Seas. Cabin rates for the inaugural sailing begin at $990 per person. The rate covers lodging, and all meals, as well as performances, interviews, parties, and events presented on the cruise.
You can book your cabin (available with no-interest payment plans) over at comicconthecruise.com. You can also join the official mailing list to learn when the cruise announces additional talent and events.
