Studio Bones Inc. has quite the history in the world of anime. It all started when a trio of Sunrise (now Bandai Namco Filmworks Inc.) staff members decided that they wanted to do their own thing as an independent anime studio. With one of their first projects being a collaboration with their old studio to make Cowboy Bebop: Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door. Since then though, they’ve gone on to make their own anime. This includes such anime as Wolf’s Rain, Fullmetal Alchemist, My Hero Academia, Bungo Stray Dogs, and Mob Psycho 100. If you’re even remotely into anime, then at least one of these will be a title you’ve heard of.

Thus, you can understand why this studio is getting a docuseries in the form of BONES 25: DREAMING FORWARD. Don’t believe me? Then why not watch the docuseries’ official trailer below, and see if you want to watch the studio’s rise to fame for yourself?

BONES 25: DREAMING FORWARD ~ Details

Wow, it’s like watching a highlight of the best anime over the past 2 decades.

Crunchyroll is proud to announce BONES 25: DREAMING FORWARD. As the title implies, this is a docuseries all about studio Bones in honor of their 25th anniversary. According to Crunchyroll: this will be a 4-part series, with each episode lasting 24 minutes. Crunchyroll is co-producing this docuseries alongside French production company DeltaRocket. In fact, DeltaRocket’s Jace directed this docuseries. Considering that he has directed “more than 40 documentaries for French television, including Canal+, Arte, M6, and TCM”, I’d say this docuseries is in good hands here.

So when can you watch this docuseries, you might ask? Well, as of this writing, right now. BONES 25: DREAMING FORWARD started streaming on February 13, 2024. In fact, the debut of this docuseries is deliberately timed to coincide with the release of Metallic Rouge on the same day. You can watch the docuseries right now on Crunchyroll, as well as Metallic Rouge also on Crunchyroll.
