Are you ready for a witty, reality-bending, globe-encircling spy flick? It’s almost time to experience Argylle in theaters.
The film brings together an author of spy novels, a real-life secret agent, and a cat for one high-stakes adventure. Sound strange? Well, just get on board, as star Bryan Cranston says in a new promo for the feature.
“You can’t always understand the madness of Matthew Vaughn. You just have to go with it,” Cranston says in the behind-the-scenes clip.

Here’s the official synopsis from Universal Pictures:
Bryce Dallas Howard (Jurassic World franchise) is Elly Conway, the reclusive author of a series of best-selling espionage novels, whose idea of bliss is a night at home with her computer and her cat, Alfie. But when the plots of Elly’s fictional books—which center on secret agent Argylle and his mission to unravel a global spy syndicate—begin to mirror the covert actions of a real-life spy organization, quiet evenings at home become a thing of the past.
Accompanied by Aiden (Oscar winner Sam Rockwell), a cat-allergic spy, Elly (carrying Alfie in her backpack) races across the world to stay one step ahead of the killers as the line between Elly’s fictional world and her real one begins to blur.
In addition to Howard, Rockwell, and Cranston, the film also stars Henry Cavill, John Cena, Ariana DeBose, Catherine O’Hara, Samuel L. Jackson, Sofia Boutella, and Dua Lipa. Even Alfie the cat is sort of a celebrity; he’s played by Chip, actual pet of supermodel Claudia Vaughn (née Schiffer).
Argylle premieres in theaters February 2.
