As a Boba Fett fan, I was so excited when the iconic bounty hunter returned to the Star Wars universe in The Mandalorian. While we might have been let down when he moved over to his series, the one thing that didn’t disappoint was the amazing collectibles we started to get. From action figures to statues, there was something for every Fett collector. Today we are going to take a look at one of those items, the Star Wars: The Mandalorian – Boba Fett (on Throne Statue) Premier Collection Statue from Gentle Giant LTD.

Thanks to our friends over at Gentle Giant LTD. and Diamond Select Toys, I added the Star Wars: The Mandalorian – Boba Fett (on Throne Statue) Premier Collection Statue to my review list. We first saw Boba Fett take this throne at the end of The Mandalorian season 2 and now you can relive this moment every day thanks to Gentle Giant LTD. Now I know this statue has been out for a while, but I feel like it is still worth reviewing. So when doing my reviews I look at many things. Those things are packaging, sculpt and paint quality, and displayability. I also always like to get the negatives out of the way first so we can always finish up on the good stuff. So without any more waiting here are my cons and pros of the Star Wars: The Mandalorian – Boba Fett (on Throne Statue) Premier Collection Statue.

Let’s talk about the cons of the Star Wars: The Mandalorian – Boba Fett (on Throne Statue) Premier Collection Statue. While this is an amazing piece, the Boba Fett on the Throne statue has a couple of negatives that we will look at.
- The price point. At $350 this is one of the higher-priced statues from Gentle Giant LTD and could keep some collectors for making the jump. But you can reduce that price if you are part of the Premier Guild program.
- Beware if you are a leave-it-in-the-box kind of collector this statue will take up a lot of room due to its size.
- The Size. The Star Wars: The Mandalorian – Boba Fett (on Throne Statue) Premier Collection Statue is massive. Measuring around 12.6 inches wide and 9.4 inches tall and coming in at 15 pounds this piece will take up a lot of shelf space.
- This statue is heavy. So when displaying you need to make sure the shelf you are putting on can support the weight. Because of this, you might be limited on where you can display this piece.
- Boba Fett’s spot on the throne could be something that could stick out to a few collectors. He is positioned on the edge with his head somewhat pointed down. When looking level at the piece it is hardly noticeable, but if you look from above or below you can see it more. (See the first picture in this article and the pictures below for a view of this).

Now that we got the cons out of the way it is time to look at what makes this Star Wars: The Mandalorian – Boba Fett (on Throne Statue) Premier Collection Statue so amazing. Here are my pros on this piece.
- If you are someone that wants to leave it in the box you are in luck. Like most of Gentle Giant’s statues, the box art looks great and the back of the box also gives you a summary of the statue.
- Boba Fett and the throne are packaged well. The statue is packaged very well as it is encased in a styrofoam block. It also has plastic around the statue, his arm with a blaster, and a throne to protect the paint job.
- Boba Fett comes with three pieces. Those pieces are Boba Fett, his hand with a rifle, and the throne, and are very easy to assemble.
- All pieces are held in place with strong magnets. There is very little wiggle to the pieces when touched.
- The details of this statue are truly amazing. The sculpt of feet and the throne are a good matchup for this piece. The paint job is amazing. From the rancor heads on the throne and the rugs on the floor to the new and worn look of his armor it looks like this piece came right out of the show.
- Coming in at around 15 pounds once this piece is displayed it is not moving. Also helping with this are the non-slip pads on the bottom of the throne.
- If you are looking for a big piece to be the centerpiece of your collection and have room for it, this Boba Fett statue is for you.
- Each statue comes with an individually numbered certificate of authenticity.
My Final Thoughts
Like most of their statues, Gentle Giant LTD. knocked this one out of the park. The Star Wars: The Mandalorian – Boba Fett (on Throne Statue) Premier Collection Statue is a must-have for any Boba Fett collector. Yes, it does have a high price point but as I said earlier if you are a member of Gentle Giant LTD’s guild program you can save some money on this piece and others. I just can’t get over the details of this statue. This is one of the best paint jobs I have seen on these statues.
Everything looks like it came out of the movie. Hell, when I first opened I thought the rugs on the base were a cloth-like material. The only downfall for me is that if you don’t have this piece level to where you are looking it looks as if he is looking down, but that is not enough for me to say stay away from this piece. If you are a Fett collector you will want this as a centerpiece of your collection.
