Joel McHale will host this year’s Saturn Awards

The Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror Films will hold its 51st annual awards ceremony on February 4. McHale will host the event which takes place at the LA Marriott Burbank Airport Hotel. It will stream live exclusively on ElectricNOW.

McHale is known for hosting the satirical entertainment commentary series The Soup for over a decade, as well as his role in the NBC ensemble comedy Community. His recent credits include the sitcom Animal Control and the superhero series Stargirl. McHale also previously hosted the 50th Saturn Awards held in 2022.

“We are thrilled to have Joel McHale host the Saturn Awards for the second year in a row. With his remarkable talent, dry wit, and acerbic humor, he embodies the spirit of the Saturn Awards tradition as Hollywood’s entertaining and irreverent awards show,” said Academy President Robert Holguin and Saturn producers Bradley and Kevin Marcus in a statement. “The Academy is truly fortunate to have him as the host for this momentous 51st annual celebration,”

Nominations for the 51st annual Saturn Awards released in December.
