Iron Maiden’s lead singer is getting up to some solo work. Bruce Dickinson is releasing a new solo album, The Mandrake Project. He’ll be reunited with longtime collaborator and producer Roy Z on the project. The album is Dickinson’s seventh and his first since 2005’s Tyranny of Souls. Here’s what Bruce had to say about the record.

“This album has been a very personal journey for me and I am extremely proud of it. Roy Z and I have been planning, writing and recording it for years, and I am very excited for people to finally hear it. I’m even more excited at the prospect of getting out on the road with this amazing band that we have put together, to be able to bring it to life. We’re planning to play as many shows as we can in as many places as possible, for as many people as we can!

As for what The Mandrake Project actually is… all will be revealed soon!”

They also announced a small live tour hitting Mexico and Brazil in April and May of 2024, with further plans for touring.

What Is Iron Maiden Up To?

Iron Maiden are embarking on a small Canadian tour of the western provinces before headlining the Friday night show of the inaugural Power Trip festival. They’ll be playing alongside Guns ‘N Roses, Metallica, AC/DC, Judas Priest, Tool, and Metallica. The band has said that they have something special up their sleeve planned for the future, so we’ll have to see if that’s just US tour dates or something else!
