Superman: Legacy is still quite a ways away from its theatrical debut. However, even in spite of that, it seems that DC Studios already wants to generate as much hype out of it as possible until then. Why else would DC Studios release cast details of this upcoming Superman film?
Superman: Legacy ~ Casting Details
Vanity Fair has just released a very revealing article about casting details for Superman: Legacy. According to them, this upcoming Superman film about Clark Kent’s life as a young reporter will add a trio of new actors/actresses to the film.
The trio of new additions consists of Isabela Merced (Transformers: The Last Knight, Sicario: Day of the Soldado, Dora and the Lost City of Gold), Edi Gagethi (Twilight, X-Men: First Class), and Nathan Fillion (Firefly, The Rookie, Halo 3). According to Vanity Fair, Merced will play Hawkgirl in Superman: Legacy, with Gagethi playing Michael Holt, also known by his superhero name of Mr. Terrific. Meanwhile, Firefly and Serenity fans would definitely recognize Fillion. Apparently, Fillion will be playing one of the Green Lanterns named Guy Gardner. Considering that Gardner is a bit of an antihero compared to Hal Jordan, it rather fits Fillion. You know, since he previously played Capt. Malcom “Mal” Reynolds in the aforementioned Firefly, who is definitely not your traditional hero? It will be quite interesting to see how he plays Gardner.
Alas, it will be a while before we get to see what all of these characters will be like. Superman: Legacy is scheduled for a 2025 release window. Because of that, we have no more specific a release date for this upcoming Superman film. Tune back in to THS later to find out more Superman news when we get it. Whether about Superman: Legacy or any other Superman project.
