Peacock has renewed its original comedy series Bupkis for a second season. The show, which stars and is created by Pete Davidson, follows the life of a fictionalized version of Davidson as he navigates the ups and downs of being a celebrity.
The first season of the series was met with mixed reviews. Some critics praised Davidson’s performance and others found the show to be too self-indulgent. However, the series was a hit with audiences, becoming one of Peacock’s most-watched original shows.
In a statement, Peacock President of Entertainment Susan Rovner said, “We are thrilled to be bringing Bupkis back for a second season. Pete Davidson is a singular talent, and we are excited to see what he does next with this brilliant and hilarious show.”
Davidson added, “I’m so grateful to Peacock for giving me the opportunity to make Bupkis. I love working with this cast and crew. I can’t wait to share more of our stories with the world.”
The series is produced by Broadway Video and Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group. The series is executive produced by Davidson, Lorne Michaels, Andrew Singer, and Erin David.
The second season of Bupkis is expected to premiere in 2023. If you haven’t make sure to check out all of Season 1 currently streaming on Peacock.
