I had a chance to sit down with the one and only Margaret Cho! We discussed her new Disney Channel Original Movie, Prom Pact! Margaret Cho is a comedian, actress, LGBT social activist, as well as musician. She is widely known for her stand-up comedy routines. In them, she tackles social and political problems having to do with race and sexuality.

So, Prom Pact stars Peyton Elizabeth Lee (Doogie Kameāloha, M.D.), Milo Manheim (Zombies), and Blake Draper (Click Bait). It’s the height of the prom season of Mandy’s (Lee) senior year. While others are worried about promposals, she’s pressed because she’s been waitlisted at Harvard, her dream school.

Margaret Cho plays Mandy Guidance Counselor. So, when sitting down with her I wanted to know if there was a teacher in her life that influenced her for the better.

MORE ABOUT THE FILM

So, it’s the height of prom season, and high school senior Mandy Yang (Lee) and her best friend and fellow outsider Ben (Manheim) are surrounded by over-the-top ’80s-themed Promposals. However, Mandy keeps her eyes focused on a different goal: her lifelong dream of attending Harvard. When she finds out that she has been put on the waitlist, she is determined to do whatever she can do to get herself accepted, even if that means asking for help from the one person she abhors – popular all-star jock Graham Lansing (Draper) whose father is a powerful senator and Harvard alum. Once Mandy becomes Graham’s tutor, she begins to realize there’s more to him than she thought and perhaps something more to life than Harvard.
