Everybody, do the dance. Universal Pictures’ horror hit M3GAN will officially arrive on Peacock soon.
The Blumhouse production begins streaming exclusively on Peacock Friday, February 24. And even if you caught the original in theaters, you can check out something new with this debut. The unrated cut of M3GAN will also stream on the platform.
Here’s the official synopsis of the movie:
She’s more than just a toy. She’s part of the family. From the most prolific minds in horror — Atomic Monster’s James Wan, the filmmaker behind the Saw, Insidious, and The Conjuring franchises, and Blumhouse, the producer of the Halloween films, The Black Phone, and The Invisible Man — comes a fresh new face in terror.
M3GAN is a marvel of artificial intelligence, a life-like doll programmed to be a child’s greatest companion and a parent’s greatest ally. Designed by brilliant toy-company roboticist Gemma (Allison Williams), she can listen, watch and learn as she becomes friend and teacher, playmate and protector, for the child she is bonded to.
As Gemma faces pressure at work from her boss (Ronny Chieng) to deliver a finished version of M3GAN, she suddenly becomes the unprepared caretaker of her newly orphaned 8-year-old niece, Cady (Violet McGraw). Gemma decides to pair the M3GAN prototype with Cady in an attempt to resolve both problems—a decision that will have unimaginable consequences.
The film comes from writer Akela Cooper (Malignant) and director Gerard Johnstone.
Look out for M3GAN on Peacock starting February 24.
