Well, we’ve officially made it to the latter half of our Fast and Furious franchise countdown. Leading up to the official trailer release for Fast X, Universal is sharing a new legacy trailer for the nine previous films in the Fast Saga. Today, we’re taking a look back at Fast & Furious 6.
Fast & Furious 6 sees Hobbs call on Dom and Brian to reassemble their crew and take down a team of mercenaries. But things get more complicated when Dom’s personal life suddenly gets tangled up in the mission.
(This chapter might be the franchise’s most dramatic, soap-y entry.)
Check out the legacy trailer for Fast & Furious 6 below.
Say it with me everyone: FAMILY. The drama is at an all-time high in this movie, as Dom’s relationship with Elena gets thrown into doubt with the return of Letty (Michelle Rodriguez). (Guess who’s not dead, but also might be working for the enemy?) Plus, it brings in Luke Evans as Owen Shaw – whose downfall will ultimately bring his brother Deckard (Jason Statham) on a vengeance-fueled quest against the Fast Family in the future.
All in all, Fast & Furious 6 really establishes the action-soap side of the franchise, and sets up a lot of important dynamics for the characters moving forwards. A lot of the plot of future films relies on what happens here. So, it’s a pretty important one for the franchise.
