Ahead of its March 1 premiere, the full list of directors for The Mandalorian S3 has been revealed. This season features some familiar faces, including Bryce Dallas Howard and Rick Famuyiwa. However, there are also several new individuals stepping into the director’s chair for this season. (No word yet on who directed which episodes.) Thankfully, we won’t have long to wait to find out, with the eight-episode third season debuting on Disney+ in a little over a month.

SEASON 3 THE RETURNING DIRECTORS

Rick Famuyiwa

Famuyiwa is one of the directors returning to this series for season 3. Famuyiwa previously directed episodes in season 1 and season 2. He also made a cameo in “Chapter 6.” In addition to directing, Famuyiwa is joining Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau as an executive producers for season 3.

Bryce Dallas Howard

Star Wars fans will certainly be excited to see Howard returning for this season. She has quickly established herself as a fan-favorite within the Star Wars community. Howard previously directed “Chapter 4: Sanctuary” and “Chapter 11: The Heiress.” She also directed an episode of The Book of Boba Fett, “Chapter 5: Return of the Mandalorian.” Which was one of the best of the series. In addition to directing, Howard also joined the animated series, The Tales of The Jedi, as the voice of Yaddle.

Carl Weathers

Carl Weather is another return from previous seasons, both in front and behind the camera. In addition to portraying Greef Karga in seven episodes, Weathers also directed “Chapter 12: The Siege” in season 2 of The Mandalorian. Weathers will once again be reprising his role as Karga, the Bounty Guild Leader turned magistrate of Nevarro.

SEASON 3 NEW DIRECTORS

Lee Issac Chung

The Mandalorian will be Chung’s first time directing for television. His previous work has included the feature films Lucky Life (2010) and Abigail Harm (2012). His latest film, Minari (2021), was nominated for several awards, including Best Director and Best Original Screenplay at the 93rd Academy Awards.

Rachel Morrison

This is Morrison’s first time working on The Mandalorian. However, she previously worked with Disney, as the cinematographer for Ryan Coogler’s Black Panther. Morrison also served as cinematographer on Rick Famuyiwa’s television film, Confirmation.

Peter Ramsey

Ramsey has a long career as a storyboard artist and production illustrator, working on 26 different films. He is best known for directing the DreamWorks Animation film, Rise of the Guardians. He also co-directed the 2018 film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. Ramsey is also set to direct at least one episode of the upcoming Ahsoka series
