Actor Jason David Frank, best know as Tommy Oliver from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, passed away on Sunday, November 20. He is survived by his four children.

Jason David Frank, JDF, rose to fame in the ’90s as the Mighty Morphin Green Ranger. He went on to play subsequent roles as the White Ranger, Red Zeo Ranger, as well as Red Turbo Ranger. Then, he returned to the series years later as a mentor and Black Ranger in Power Rangers Dino Thunder.
As an ambassador of the brand, JDF always went out of his way for the fans. He would stay at his table for hours after a convention show floor had closed. This way he could meet everyone in line. So, as COVID restrictions started to wane, he toured comic book shops all over the United States to encourage people to get back out the support their local comic book shops and to meet his fans.
Jason David Frank was also a professionally trained MMA fighter. He was well-versed in everything from Taekwondo, Muay Thai, Judo, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, as well as others. He fought professionally from 2008 to 2010.
Please respect the privacy of his family and friends during this horrible time as we come to terms with the loss of such a wonderful human being. He loved his family, friends and fans very much. He will truly be missed.
