Peacock announced today that Academy Award Winner Joe Pesci (Goodfellas) will star in the new series, Bupkis. The series is written, starring, and executive produced by Pete Davidson. What will Pesci be doing in the series? Pesci will play Pete Davidson’s grandfather and is his first television series. Davidson’s mother will be played by Emmy Award Winner Edie Falco (Nurse Jackie).

The new Peacock series, Bupkis, is a fictionalized version of Pete Davidson’s life. The series will be a 30 min live-action comedy grounded in storytelling, but with absurd elements thrown in. Of course, all through the eyes of Pete Davidson’s unfiltered and original worldview.

Also executive producing is Lorne Michael (SNL), as well as Juda Miller (showrunner), and Dave Sirus. Sirius will also write the series. Also executive producing are Andrew Singer and Erin David.

The series comes from Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group, and Broadway Video.

Davidson only recently closed the deal for the series. So, there is no known release date for Bupkis at this time.
