Zack Snyder’s sci-fi epic Rebel Moon just revealed additional cast members.
First up, a replacement: Ed Skrein (Deadpool) will take over for Rupert Friend as the film’s main antagonist. Friend exited the project due to scheduling conflicts.
The film also announced three additional cast members: Cleopatra Coleman (Dopesick), Fra Fee (Hawkeye), and Rhian Rees (Nope). They join a previously announced ensemble composed of Sofia Boutella, Charlie Hunnam, Djimon Hounsou, Doona Bae, Ray Fisher, Stuart Martin, Cary Elwes, Corey Stoll, Michiel Huisman, and Alfonso Herrera.
Rebel Moon follows a young woman (Boutella) with a mysterious past sent to seek out warriors from neighboring planets to help save her peaceful community from a tyrannical army.
Skrein is known for his role as the villain Ajax in the first Deadpool movie. He also appeared in genre hits like Game of Thrones, Alita: Battle Angel, and Maleficent: Mistress of Evil.
Coleman recently appeared in the Hulu series Dopesick. Her previous credits include The Last Man on Earth, White Famous, and Better Things. She will next appear in the films Infinity Pool and Cobweb.
Fee appeared in Disney’s MCU as mercenary Kazi Kazimierczak in Hawkeye. His film credits include Cinderella and Les Misérables.
Rees appeared in 2018’s Halloween, and will next be seen in Jordan Peele’s Nope.
